Couture Creations 2015 Design Team Audition

I've decide to share some of my favorite projects from the past year as part of my 2015 Design Team application.

This is the layout I taught at the 2014 Brisbane Scrapbooking Expo on behalf of Couture Creations and Photo Continental.  We used the dies and embossing folders in lots of different ways, really showcasing how versatile the products are.

Next a couple of tags I created. The first features metallic effects of the diecuts and embossed surfaces.

This tag utilizes the negative pieces from the diecut, as well as using the die itself as a stencil with modeling paste

I love all the textures and techniques on this layout, combining mixed media with diecuts and embossing, it was so much fun to create!

Mixed media canvas I created for Cha 2015 using the Background Savvy collection and Vintage Rose Garden papers.

Lots of layers and techniques on this page.....

Last but not least, a layout using Perforated Mesh and the Art Deco Frame

Thanks for looking at my creations!

Pictures of You

Hi there.
It's Tina here, sharing a layout I created using the gorgeous new "Background Savvy" Intricutz Die Collection.

I cut a number of diecuts using Crystal Aroma, Fans of Fantasia, Predictability, Nostalgia, and Conservatory from white Core'dinations cardstock. I embossed two pieces of cardstock using the Conservatory die and a tan embossing mat.

Then I die-cut the edges only, by rolling it a little way into the embossing machine, and then back out again on all four sides.  This created a cool, textured effect.  You can see it as the first layer under the photo.

Then  I heat embossed some of the diecuts, and layered them up on my page.

This collection of dies cut beautifully, & is so versatile, I honestly couldn't pick my favorite!

Tutorial for Off The Rails Scrapbooking

Hi there, I'm just sharing a tutorial I created for Off The Rails Scrapbooking which is lots of fun.

Dimensional Magic Resist Technique

1. Stamp images using Stazon, chalk, or pigment inks ( so they don't bleed in the later steps)

2. Apply Dimensional Magic to various areas where you wish to create a resist effect.  I filled in the butterflies and loosely outlined some of the grasses.

 3. Allow to dry.

4.  Blend two or three complimentary Distress Inks using a circular motion with a foam applicator.

5. Lightly mist or flick some water over your tag, which will create a nice distress effect.  Allow to dry

Lindy's Stamp Gang Doll Canvas

Hi everyone, it's Tina here today with a canvas I created for my daughter, using Lindy's Stamp Gang products, and this month's challenge colours as my inspiration.

I mixed Hydrangea Blue Magicals in modelling paste until it matched the Caribbean Blue, and applied it to my canvas using a stencil.

Once dry I sprayed with 'Caribbean Blue' and 'Frolic In The Forest Black' Starburst sprays.  While the canvas was still wet, I dripped some 'Frozen Jack Frost" in places and did a few sprays (pressing the nozzle slowly to create bigger droplets instead of a fine mist)

Once dry, you can add more 'Frozen Jack Frost' as desired.  I kept mine dark to represent a starry night.

Stamp a doll image and paint her hair and dress using 'Pretty In Pink'.

I also added embossing powder to some of the elements

Add a collage of flowers, resin, and metallic embellishments over the skirt and lightly brush with Gel Medium to allow the water-based sprays to stick to the non-porous surfaces.  Spitz with 'Pretty In Pink' and 'Bouganvillea Fuchsia

Add some background detail by stamping, and embossing with 'Hyacinth Blue Jade'

Paint a chipboard branch using "Frolic In The Forest black', stamp with embossing ink, and heat emboss using 'Angel Wings Gold' and "Cosmic Pink Blue'.

Lightly spray flower cluster with 'Caribbean Blue', and add a quote of your choice.
