Delightful Dancers

I created this layout using the beautiful Heart's Ease collection from Couture Creations.  I just love the muted colours,

The Couture Creations flowers were altered using mists in complementing tones, and gold beads were put in some of the centres.

Petite Doilies were layered behind the flowers.

I embossed some of my layered papers to create extra texture.

The chipboard title by Imaginarium designs was heat embossed.

Clean and simple???

This is my version of a clean and simple layout, still using some of my favourite mixed media products like pastes, mists and embossing powders combined with some gorgeous Couture Creations die-cuts and Imaginarium Designs chipboard.

I kept the design simple, with repetition of the doilies, and only using two colours.

Cut one of each from the following dies- Rowena, Keepsake Kandy, Simone's Style, Victoria, Lotus Daily, and So Lace.   Spritz doily diecuts with shimmer mist and allow to dry.

Apply various coloured pastes through stencil and allow to dry.

Create texture on the frame using paste.

Emboss chipboard title.

Colour the Cottage Pollen Flower using mists. Adhere elements across the pages.

Mixed media layout for Couture Creations

Hi there, Today I wanted to share a vintage mixed media layout I created using Couture Creations Vintage Rose Garden papers.

Cut Megan's Magic from cardstock, and heat emboss. This will be your photo mat.

Apply some gesso to your page and once dry, stamp with Hearts Ease Stamps using a permanent ink such as Stazon.  Apply some gel medium through a mask and spray with various colours of mists once dry.

Cut Vintage Stroller and heat emboss

Cut a Butterfly Flourish 1, Butterfly Flourish 2 from green cardstock, and Large Winter Tree from white cardstock.  Layer all the elements and adhere.  Add some Couture Creations flowers as accents.

Here's a few closeups for you...

Quick and easy baby card

Hi there,
Today I'm sharing a quick and easy baby card using the gorgeous Hearts Ease paper range.

Using the 6x6 paper pad, I cut Megan's Magic and Vintage Stroller.  I cut a 5 1/2" square mat and another 6 7/8" square mat in the same paper as the Megan's Magic diecut.

Layer the mats and diecuts onto a 6 x 6" card.  Add pearls and gemstone accents.

Vintage Rose

Hi everyone, today I've created a layout using Couture Creations Vintage Rose Garden papers as they complimented the pretty dresses worn by my daughter's dance team.

I added some gesso in a few places, as the first step in my layering.

Cut two Keepsake Kandy from white cardstock, and one Mirabilis from thin chipboard (I used the backing sheet from a paper pad) and cut in half as shown.  (I heat embossed the Mirabilis pieces, but you could paint it as an alternative)

Attach to page as shown.

Emboss two pieces of patterned paper and sand the raised pattern and edges.

Cut Twisting Corners from cardstock (I heat embossed my pieces using the Heat Tool)

Layer Twisting Corners over some muslin, and layer under photo.

Layer embossed papers behind the photo.

Add a Cottage pollen flower to the corner.  I intend to journal all the details with a white pen around the outside, once I've checked with my daughter that they are correct.

Fun and funky background!

Hi everyone, today I thought I'd share with you a really fun background I created.
I used lots of different mists and mediums, and the part I love most is that you never know exactly how it will turn out!

I used Glitter Gel and Light Paste through stencils using a palette knife.  Allow to dry, or if you are impatient like me, use a heat gun.  Holding the heat gun close to the medium will cause it to bubble, creating extra texture!

Repeat the priocess using White Sand texture paste, and then with modelling paste.  dry completely before the next step.

Stamp using Leafing Size, allow to dry slightly until tacky, and apply gold leaf.  Brush excess off using a dry paint brush.  Spray different mists, I used Lindy's Stamp Gang Starbursts (which show the gorgeous shimmer on the black), and Flat Fabios (in pastel chalk colours)

Add some sequins, photos, and mistable ephemera pieces and you are done.
