Lindy's Stamp Gang February Colour Challenge

Okay, yes I know its almost the end of Feb, but you still have time to join in on the challenge!  I've been suffering with lots of pain and headaches from a whiplash injury sustained last year, so I haven't been up to doing much creatively for a few weeks.

This is the gorgeous colour scheme!

And here's my Design Team inspiration piece for the challenge....

I created a journal page, drawing the face and then painting it using the colours from the February Limited Edition Spray Kit.

All the stamping was done in Versamark and heat embossed with Lindy's embossing powders to add colour.

Make sure you pop over to the Lindy's blog to check out all the incredible pieces created by all the other DT girls.

Thanks for visiting my blog!
Happy scrapping,
Tina

Sharing the Good Times

Hi everyone, it's Tina here today sharing my layout using the new release Background Savvy and Everyday Essentials dies.

I layered my Vintage Rose Garden papers, distressed the edges and smear white gesso on to create contrast and add to the shabby-chic style I wanted to create.

I cut four of the Beach Fern from cardstock and patterned paper, embossed it using and embossing mat, and  colored the raised area using the die as a stencil.

Check out the different effects this creates....

I created a cluster using Beach Fern, Mini Flowers 1, and Happy Flower, and used Couture Creations Pearls for my flower centers.  Now I have flowers that co-ordinate perfectly!

I've layered Honeypot behind my photomat, I love that die!  I also sanded the edges of my photos.

Couture Creations 2015 Design Team Audition

I've decide to share some of my favorite projects from the past year as part of my 2015 Design Team application.

This is the layout I taught at the 2014 Brisbane Scrapbooking Expo on behalf of Couture Creations and Photo Continental.  We used the dies and embossing folders in lots of different ways, really showcasing how versatile the products are.

Next a couple of tags I created. The first features metallic effects of the diecuts and embossed surfaces.

This tag utilizes the negative pieces from the diecut, as well as using the die itself as a stencil with modeling paste

I love all the textures and techniques on this layout, combining mixed media with diecuts and embossing, it was so much fun to create!

Mixed media canvas I created for Cha 2015 using the Background Savvy collection and Vintage Rose Garden papers.

Lots of layers and techniques on this page.....

Last but not least, a layout using Perforated Mesh and the Art Deco Frame

Thanks for looking at my creations!

Pictures of You

Hi there.
It's Tina here, sharing a layout I created using the gorgeous new "Background Savvy" Intricutz Die Collection.

I cut a number of diecuts using Crystal Aroma, Fans of Fantasia, Predictability, Nostalgia, and Conservatory from white Core'dinations cardstock. I embossed two pieces of cardstock using the Conservatory die and a tan embossing mat.

Then I die-cut the edges only, by rolling it a little way into the embossing machine, and then back out again on all four sides.  This created a cool, textured effect.  You can see it as the first layer under the photo.

Then  I heat embossed some of the diecuts, and layered them up on my page.

This collection of dies cut beautifully, & is so versatile, I honestly couldn't pick my favorite!

Tutorial for Off The Rails Scrapbooking

Hi there, I'm just sharing a tutorial I created for Off The Rails Scrapbooking which is lots of fun.

Dimensional Magic Resist Technique

1. Stamp images using Stazon, chalk, or pigment inks ( so they don't bleed in the later steps)

2. Apply Dimensional Magic to various areas where you wish to create a resist effect.  I filled in the butterflies and loosely outlined some of the grasses.

 3. Allow to dry.

4.  Blend two or three complimentary Distress Inks using a circular motion with a foam applicator.

5. Lightly mist or flick some water over your tag, which will create a nice distress effect.  Allow to dry
