Its been a week since I last posted, so I have lots to share. I received two surprises in the mail yesterday, my prize from A2Z Scraplets December challenge (with lots of cool chipboard), and a RAK from The Netherlands with a stamp and lovely card (from Jolanda at Scrapbookchallenges.ning.com). It made a wonderful change from the bills and junk-mail that the postie ormally brings!
Here's my take on the 123 Challenge for January, which was to use punches, the word "beautiful", and purple (a colour I rarely use). I found a photo I'd taken near our fishing spot, just down the road from our house, which was perfect for this.
I used Dusty Concord Distress Ink on the edges, Creative Imaginations rubons, Thickers, and Martha Stewart punch.
A layout which came together quickly using the sketch from Scrapbookit. I have inserted a tag for my teenage daughter to journal on (these are her photos & she's not interested in scrapbooking, but is very good at writing).
I love how you've layered the punch border in the 123 challenge. Very nice! Purple isn't a colour I tend to use either but it works well in that layout.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pages, I just love the picture and page with the tree.
ReplyDeleteReally love the punched borders all purple and sweet and layered up so thick and delish. And your layout is cool too. Did you alter the photo to get that wicked color in there? It really is beautiful!
