Last minute cropping

One last entry for Coredinations Hard Core Crop.  It's for Andrea's diecut challenge (#7).
Here's a card I made with a layered diecut embellishment.

Hardcore Cropping continued

Challenge # 13   Here's my entry for the scoring challenge set by Cari Locken (make sure you check out her very clever example).  I made a card and scored a border on the white mat,  & patterns onto the banners & flowers.  (Sorry about the photos - had to take them at night)

The next challenge is #5 by Jennifer which was to use strips.  I also made some flowers from my Coredinations cut-off strips.... if you look closely you can see the printing (which ads to the grungy feel).   I decided to use one of my favorite mediums on this one, Lindy's Stamp Gang mists, to add some shimmer and colour.

I took lots of pics to show how it changes when the light hits the Lindy's Stamp Gang mists.

I sanded some of the embossed area and they soaked up the mists, love it!
I embossed the background sheet with this butterfly design, using the good old rolling pin!

Love these roses made from the cut-off strips!

Thanks for looking, I hope I've inspired you to create something.

Coredinations Hardcore Cropping!

Hey, I'm back with some more stuff I've created this weekend, thanks to the challenges at Coredinations.
First challenge was  Lydia's and she had this advertisement as inspiration.
This is what I came up with using Coredinations Tim Holtz Distress collection, and MME patterned paper.  I also used some embellishments from Mad About Scrappin.

Challenge #4 was set by Debbie and it was to only use cardstock -nothing else!
I made this card and love how it turned out.

Thanks for looking, I'll be posting some more of my challenge entries shortly.

Hard Core Crop!

Here's my layout for Debbie's "All Cardstock Challenge" #12, which was to use all cardstock, plus any embellishments. The twine and embellishments (bottle-top, oversized button, rose and ribbon) are from Mad About Scrappin'.  I used dies from Tim Hotz, Sizzix, Spellbinders, and Marianne Designs

Are you hardcore?

As I was looking around on the internet, I discovered Coredinations is having a HARD CORE CROP!  Thought to myself...okay, I'm up for a challenge!
I created this one for Char's challenge #3 which is to use antiquing on your page.  Char has a nice little tutorial on her blog here.
This is what I came up with...
The patterned paper is from the Lakehouse collection by Kaisercraft, chipboard by Words Or Whatever, and the cardstock is Coredinations.  I love these flowers I made from the cardstock.

I'd also like to share a  layout I did for Scrapping Outback's "White with a Twist" of black challenge.  This was quick and fun to do.  I used white Coredinations cardstock as my base, and splashed around some paints and inks....lots of fun!

A flat layout?????

I think I shocked myself this week....I did a really flat layout!  I might have to do a few more of these as my albums fill up really quickly (no room to add refills), with all the embellishments and flowers that I usually add!  I decided to join the sketch challenge at Scrap Friends.  I love the grunginess of this page, let me know what you think!

I used Tim Holtz tissue tapes, filmstrips, and tickets, plus some washi tape, Maya Road tickets, Gesso, and a few other bits and pieces to create lots of interest without adding bulk.
