Stencils from your die-cuts!

Hi there, I had lots of fun with this one!  As I'm sure you all know I love playing with mixed media, so I created my own stencil using the Drifting Feather die.

I I spread some Gesso accross my page using an old gift card.  This will help your mists to run, instead of soaking straight into the paper, and adds extra strength to your page.

Cut the large clockface to use as a dreamcatcher, and adhere to page.  Cut four Drifting Feathers from cardstock.  Use the negative as a stencil, applying modelling paste as pictured, and stencil three feathers to hang from the clockface.  Allow to dry.

Cut Magnolia Cutting from white cardstock and emboss using Chunky Glacier White (2/3rd) and Gold Chunky Crystals (1/3rd) embossing powders.

Spray and drip some mists over the stenciled feathers.

Stamp butterflies from Timeless Garden Stamp set onto acetate, bend the acetate so the butterfly wings sit up, and adhere.

More customised embossing powders were made using a mix of Chunky Gold, Chunky Glacier White and Sapphire Pearl Gems embossing powders.

I added some adhesive pearls, diecut ephemera, paper magnolias, and  small paper roses.

Love

Hi everyone, Today I'm sharing a really fun layout using black background to really showcase the vibrant colours and shimmer.

Apply 'Deep Water' Colour Paste through a stencil and allow to dry.  Then apply 'Sunshine' Colour Paste through another stencil.

Apply embossing ink through a stencil, lift the stencil away and sprinkle with Colourblast 'Fire Engine' Embossing Powder, and heat till melted.

Cover frame with white paint, then heat emboss with Sunshine Embossing Powder.

And here's a few closeups of the finished layout.  The sparkle is really cool in real life!

Love that colour!

Hi everyone!  Check out what I've been playing with!  Not my normal colours, but I love the graduated effect achieved with the embossing powders.

I sprayed both Tangerine Dream and Sunshine Shimmer sprays through a stencil to create a subtle background effect.

Tangerine Dream and Sunshine Colour Pastes were applied through stencils.

The finished layout!

Title was heat embossed using Tangerine Dream, Sunshine, and Fire Engine.

I'm currently teaching some classes on a nine day cruise to the South Pacific.  (The lucky ladies might find some ColourBlast in their kits!)  I'll have lots of pictures to share when we get back!
Happy scrapping!
Tina

Tag - your it!

Hi there, have you played with these gorgeous products yet?  So much fun- I love the fab colours and all the sparkle!  I'm so excited to share my first layout with you.

I created five tags using the Colour Paste in Deep Water, Just Blue and Bling, through various stencils.  Once dry I heat embossed using Bling after stamping a script stamp

I sprayed Colour Shimmer Spray in Leather, Deep Water, Bling and Just Blue to add some subtle shimmer.

My background was created using Deep Water and Just Blue Colour Shimmer Spray through a stencil.  Then I added my tags, photos and some doodling.  Chipboard elements were heat embossed with Deep Water Embossing Powder.

Happy scrapping!

Just my type!

Don't you just love this Typography paper?  And the Typography Embossing Folder?
As soon as I saw it I started thinking of so many ways to use it.  I decided to create a vintage layout with a touch of mixed media.

I smeared some gesso onto my typography paper, and embossed Denim cardstock using Timeless Garden, sanding the raised design, and a piece of Gentle Magnolias and Lace paper using the Typography embossing folder, and inking the raised design.

Cut two sets of leaves with Rose Cutting from Denim cardstock, and Magnolia Borders from black cardstock.

Layer various Magnolia Lane papers, embossed pieces, die-cuts, a strip of lace, and cut-off strips.
Cut Adore using Rosey Frame to use as a title. Add flowers and a metal trinket.
