Received some super, exciting news tonight....but I can't tell you till tomorrow! Yes, I know,....I'm being a tease! But I do have some pics to show you. And...I forgot to share my other exciting news which was that my layout "Beach" was published in Issue #3 of Australian Scrapbooking Ideas. This was my first layout to be published in print, which was a real buzz.
I've gotten a bit of scrapping done this week thanks to the fun challenges the girls gave us for the Scrapping Outback Wicked Wonderland Cybercrop. This was awesome for me because my youngest daughter has danced in "Alice in Wonderland", "The Addams Family", and "Horror Movies" this year, so I had photos which are just perfect. Plus I'd bought the gorgeous Halloween in Wonderland papers by Graphic 45!
This is my take on the Mad Hatter challenge, I had lots of fun putting this together, & creating lots of different textures.
These were the challenge requirements-
1. Your project must be in the shape of the MAD HATTERS HAT.
2. You need to draw inspiration from the colours of the Mad Hatter and there are quiet a few to choose from Smile .
3. Just like the Mad Hatters Hat Pins you need to have something sticking out of you project.
4. A black & white photo.
5. Must have at least 1 bat.
6. Have fun with it!!
I drew the hat shape freehand, cut it out, and inked all the edges.
I used Distress Stickles, Dimensional Magic, and Tim Holtz embossing folders to give lots of texture.
Hope you like it. I'll have photos of my layouts for Julie's "Nature Challenge" and Alicia's "Off with her head challenge" tomorrow. And I'll tell you my news!
Happy scrapping
Tina
