Mixing it up!

I wanted to share a few layouts with you today.  Two are very clean and simple, whilst the other has lots of layers and different elements and mediums - more my usual style!  What they all have in common is the gorgeous Couture Creations dies.
I used the "Tied Together" Ornamental Lace Die, trimmed the frame and cut it in half to create a long decorative strip.  I also used the Birdcage and Beautiful Butterfly dies to create embellishments.

This one uses The Van Roe Decorative Die "Celebrate"

And one of my recent fav layouts...
First up is a photo showing the layers, before adding mists and embellishments.  You can see where I layered some of my diecuts.

And here it is completed!

I love the pretty texture created by the Chandeliers Set.

'Finalist Entry Kaisercraft DT 2014/15'

Hi everyone,
I feel super excited to be chosen as a finalist in the Kaisercraft DT Call for 2014/15.  I received a wonderful package of yet to be released papers to create with.

I created this layout using the 'Yuletide' collection.

And this using 'Yuletide', where I created some cool effects when I stamped Kaisercraft 'Crackle' into modelling paste, and sprayed it with mists once dry.

I created this Christmas wreath using some of the leftover papers.

The other gorgeous range I was given to create with is called Rustic Harmony.

I used an number of mediums through Kaisercraft stencils as well as stamping with 'Diamonds'.

I just had to do a pretty layout with these papers.....

Thank you for visiting my blog today, I hope I've inspired you to go create something pretty.
Happy scrapping,
Tina

Creating for Couture Creations!

Hi everyone,
I'd like to share this layout I (literally) whipped up last night using Couture Creations The Van Roe collection dies and The Marriot embossing folders.
First of all I debossed my patterned paper using Peacock Fans.  I wanted the fan shape to stand out, rather than inwards, so placed my paper facing the back of the die.  Very simple but the embossed effect is different.

Here's an example of the pattern embossed (top) and debossed (bottom) on Core'dinations cardstock which I've sanded.

I've embossed using the Fubu folder and cut two Ornate rectangles, and three Beautiful Butterflies.

I've layered strips of paper, & the embossed papers, then smear Gesso, and stamped using these cool Couture stamps.  A few spritzes with various mists, attach the photo and butterflies, and it was done!

I used the "waste' from the Tied Together die to create these harlequin shapes!

I smeared some black Glitzin' Glamour across the  mesh tape to highlight it.
