"Sandon River" Mini-book

Here's the mini-book I completed as one of my Design team projects for Artfull Crafts. It uses Kaisercraft papers, Adirondack paint dauber (Mushroom), 7-Gypsies stamps, and various rubons. I ran some of the pages trough the Cuttlebug to add some texture. I love the way it turned out, simple enough to showcase the wonderful photos of our family camping trip to Sandon River in New South Wales.

Graphic 45 Layout

Here's my layout from a class I attended at Print Blocks with the very talented Jane Treganza. I'll be teaching it as a class in late October/early November at Greenbank Scrapbook Shop.

I received a parcel containing my ebay purchases (gotta love ebay!) and was suprised with the little RAKs inside and the gorgeous packaging. It made my day! Had to take a pic and share with you..

And what was inside!

Some quick pics

Some flowers from my garden...just cause I thought they were pretty!

A couple of pics of the kits I received from Artfull Crafts. See my previous posts to see what I made with them.

And a peek at the next kit I'll be creating with.

A card I made using the lovely Smooch Inks, Tim Holtz dies, and the Cuttlebug Clockwork embossing folder

A card I made using a scallop punch the make the flower. I'll do a tutorial when I have time.

Have a great weekend everybody. I'm off to my girl's dance competition at Gatton this morning, and won't get home til around midnight Sunday.

Challenges

Have been super busy this week, organising everything for the girl's dance comp this weekend, held over 3 days at the little country town of Gatton. They've danced the past two weekends as well at another Eisteddfod. Been playing catchup all week with the housework, washing, etc.
Plus my Design Team package arrived ( woohoo!!!) , so I had to make a start on that and post to my gallery at Artfull Crafts. I got three layouts and four cards completed, so not too bad an effort! Was a bit of a challenge because some of the papers were quite 'boyish', but it was good to step outside of my comfort zone. Here's some of what I came up with.

The layout is using products from the K & Company 'Grab Bag'

The diecut border strips are a bit nice!

Some layouts to share

These are some layouts I did using the September kit from Artful Crafts. I made 2 layouts and three cards, and still have some product left over.

I used the gorgeous Tim Holtz dies to cut the flowers, then I embossed them using Tim Holtz and Cuttlebug embossing folders. I used my fingernail to mould the petals and give them dimension, then inked the edges.

I finally scrapped some photos of our honeymoon. We spent a glorious week on a houseboat on Tinaroo Dam, before travelling all around Far North Queensland. We caught some great feeds of Red Claw crayfish.
I made a hidden pocket for my journal block as I love to have interactive elements within my pages.

Gorgeous giveaway and cybercrop

Make sure you join us at Scrapping Outback for the fab Twilight Cybercrop next weekend. While you're there, check out their new chipboard.... this is my favorite! I love interactive pages, and can imagine doing something really cool with this.

They also have a giveaway on their blog.
