I made this layout to share with you today.


My daughter dances to the song "Horror Movies" so I had to make it a little spooky!


I included an interactive element so I could feature 8 photos, whilst still having plenty of room for embellishments. I embossed and inked some acetate, and used this to mat the booklet.



I wove some tulle under my hand-stitched "cobweb".


I used a combination of UTEE and Distress embossing powder on my spider (by A2Z Scraplets)

Scrappin' Silhouettes Challenge entry & other stuff

I decided to finally enter a challenge so here's my take on this week's Scrappin' Silhouettes challenge.

I used Graphic 45 Christmas paper and Kutalicious laser cut acrylics.



I also did some Glimmer Misting and had alot of fun with this one. I'm entering it in this month's Paper Secrets technique challenge.

I used Jazz, Sapphire, and Turquoise blues to colour my white cardstock after punching around it with Martha Stewart punches.

I spritzed some old sheet music and the chipboard Tutu. I painted my title & highlighted the Tutu details with Smooch, which did the job perfectly.


I gathered some material and attached it under the Tutu to give the impression of layeres of tulle.

At 1:00pm I am teaching a double page class using Graphic 45 papers called "Back in Time" based on a Jenny Sutherland class I attended at PrintBlocks . It suits sepia or heritage photos, and the class is $12 plus materials.

Todays offerings....

A card I made using Smooch inks, and Paper artsy stamps.

I stamped and heat embossed the cardstock, then coloured the image using traditional watercolour techniques, and by smearing the colours with my finger. The flower was made using a daisy punch, scruching, and colouring with some Glimmer Mist. I love how it turned out. What do you think?


The blue of this carstock was perfect for these photos taken at Hervey Bay in Queensland. We spent a few fab days there after Christmas in 2008. Tip: Simple layouts can help to showcase the photos in a multi-photo layout.

Just a fun embellishment I created using Tim Holtz die and Art Institute Glass Glitter. Don't know what I'll use it on yet, but it hangs in my scraproom looking pretty for the moment.


A layout made with the Docrafts Summer Bloom kit. I used faux-stitching and distressing on the layered papers.

Some exciting news in my inbox today.....I have two layouts published in this months Scrapbook News and Review Magazine and a 'Back to School' layout in "Ready, Set, Create!" magazine.

A few months ago I showed you this layout, and promised to do a masculine version as a personal challenge. Here's the girly version....


...and here's the masculine layout!




I distressed and layered my papers, and spritzed them with Glimmer Mist over the Tim Holtz barbed wire mask. The vellum was embossed and laced with string. I used metallic objects, and Magic Mesh (coloured with Stazon to make it look rusty) on the layout to give it a masculine feel. The cogs were cut using a Tim Holtz die, and smeared with some Smooch ink and Distress Stickles.
