New product - Kutalicious

Thought I'd post some pics of some of the PETG and mirrored acrylic pieces from Kutalicious. This is a new Australian company which is making some fabulous stuff. Here's a layout I did using the gorgeous Kutalicious mirrored acrylic. They are made by two wonderful ladies, Denise & Cherie, and are brand new to the market. It can be coloured using alcohol inks, Copic, or glaze pens, and stamped on using Stazon.

I made the scroll heart by embossing a piece of transparency, then painting one side and alcohol inking the other side. Once the paint dried I kind of sanded//rubbed the paint from the raised areas which revealed the colours of the alcohol inks. I then diecut the heart shape using my Bigshot.

Just a quick pic of one of my fav layouts, using the beautiful flocked paper from 7 Gypsies. I used the new Tim Holtz flower die on plain white paper,inked and stamped it, scrunched and inked some more and sprayed it with Glimmer Mist. The other flowers were coloured using GlimmerMist too.

Alcohol inks class

This is my class example for the alcohol inks class I held a few weeks ago at Greenbank Scrapbook shop. I covered cardstock and chipboard diecuts in metallic foil, and went crazy with the alcohol inks, and embossing folders. It was fun and easy to do, with a very striking result.

Photos from Sandon River

Thought I'd post a few pics from our recent camping trip to Sandon River, it really is a beautiful part of Australia. The first two were taken at Red Cliff, just north of Broomes Head.

I took these photos on my daughters cheapy Kodak camera so am really happy with the results. I managed to capture these shots of my eldest daughter dancing on the beach at sunset,....I can't wait to scrap them! It took quite a few attempts due to not having the luxury of continuous shooting and fast shutter options on the camera.

The Fundraiser for Creation Dance was heaps of fun with lots of prizes, demos, and giveaways. The sketch challenge was popular with the many kids who attended, with Micheala's gorgous layout being judged the winner. It was great to see how much fun the next generation of scrapbookers were having. Here's a few pics from the day.

Entry for Design Divas

Wow, what a week, I've finished and posted off my entry for the Scrapbook Creations Design Divas team. We had to do a layout and an Off-The-Page project with the theme Diva in mind. I had some lovely photos of my daughters that were perfect for this.My friend Denise,from Kutalicious, made me a custom designed mini-book from black and clear acrylic, and cut words for me from their gorgeous mirrored acrylic. I used a variety of techniques on my layout including using crackle paint, Glimmer Mist, impasto over Glimmer Screens, plus lots of layering, bling, and flowers. Here's a tiny sneak peak. (Hopefully you'll see more in Scrapbook Creations)



The winners get to be on the Design Divas team for Scrapbook Creations magazine with work commissioned throughout the year. What a fabulous opportunity. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Some more layouts

I love the grungy (but still feminine)look I achieved with this layout, I had fun creating various 'rust' techniques on my butterfly and the chipboard.

Hi everybody! Sorry, but I've been so busy that I haven't posted in ages. But I have gotten some layouts done.

This one was a bit of an experiment which, thankfully, turned out well. I usd texture paste, black Gesso, chipboard, metal foil tape, and Tattered Angels Glimmer Screens to create some really interesting textures. I just love the versatility of the Glimmer Screens, I own about 5 sets already! (I recently bought the Seaside stamp set and can't wait to get the matching screens with the adorable seahorse)
